However, shortly before he died, he met Jade McFadden, whom he believed was his ancestor's granddaughter. And he was right. So, he wrote in the will should anything bad happen to Carrigan, Jade would become full owner of Whipstaff Manor, back to its rightful owners: the McFaddens.
